The law office of Isabel Betancourt-Levey is a multi-service law firm with a specialty in estate planning: wills, trusts and estate law. We also represent clients in summary and formal probate administration, real property, and corporate and LLC formation.  Applying our extensive knowledge and experience in strategic estate planning, real estate law, and entity formation, we’ll ensure that you, your loved ones and your assets are properly protected.  We’ll also help you reduce or eliminate the need for probate.  However, should our representation include probate because a loved one was unable to set up an estate plan, we’ll help you navigate through the process, scrutinize and/or object to any creditor claims as needed, and we’ll guide you through until your loved one’s estate is settled.

We also serve clients in a variety of agreed family law matters such as prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements, and cohabitation agreements, agreed divorce and paternity cases, and intra-family adoptions including adoptions by step-parents and grandparents.  Prior to drafting your agreement, we’ll advise you of your legal rights under Florida law to ensure you have the information you need to make carefully considered decisions which affect your property and your family.  Before you sign your agreement, we’ll provide you with a draft and we’ll answer any questions you may have to ensure you agree with the terms prior to signing.  From beginning to end, you will receive our expertise, personal attention, compassionate representation and utmost confidentiality.

Isabel Betancourt-Levey is an experienced and dedicated attorney, who seeks to achieve the best possible results for her clients in a timely and cost-effective manner.  She concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning, probate administration, and, collaborative family law.  Isabel was admitted to the practice of law by the Florida Bar in 1993 and to the Texas Bar in 1991.  Prior to obtaining her law degree from South Texas College of Law, she earned her B.A. from the University of Miami.  Isabel is currently a member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar, the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, and, the Dade County Bar Association.  

Motivated and conscientious, Isabel enjoys her areas of practice and speaks frequently to clients and others on the subjects of estate planning, probate administration and family law. Isabel believes in taking a holistic approach when advising her clients in the areas of estate planning and family law, encouraging them to consider the emotional aspects of their decisions as well as the financial.  Isabel volunteers in community organizations through which she participates in volunteer and pro bono work, and she is also fluent in Spanish.
